‘Shark Tank’ preview: Pinblock, NicePipes leg warmers, Mama’s Milkbox, and Grease Bags

Shark Tank -

Tonight’s new “Shark Tank” is a mere matter of hours away, and in leading up to that, why not go ahead and take a look at our latest preview piece? We’ve got sneak peeks below for every single product featured tonight, along with a little bit of analysis regarding what all of them are bringing to the table.

If you want to know a little bit more info beyond what we have, or want to check out / buy the product for yourself, just click on any of the individual links below! Check back later tonight for a full review.

Grease Bags – This is pretty smart on paper — it’s a way to dispose of grease in a way that is convenient, and also better for the environment. Everyone probably agrees that disposing of the grease / oil is one of the worst things about frying stuff, and this looks to be the solution to that issue. The big issue that we see with the product right now is that one grease bag is selling for almost $7. It’s great to be environmentally-conscious, but you’ve also got to do something that doesn’t put an enormous dent in your pocketbook to go along with it.

Mama’s Milkbox – The company is a subscription service designed to give apparel and convenience to breastfeeding moms who need to be comfortable and functional. We’re the last person to be talking about whether or not this is something that is practical and can be applies well to the everyday mom, but we know that there are many other apparel products with a similar model of shipping items to your house, letting you try some of them on, and then allowing you to keep what you want. It all sounds good on paper, and we’re not quite sure how much time these people are going to have to shop on their own given their schedules.

Pinblock – This is a different twist on Lego products or any of the other building block out there. Every single piece is the same, but they are bendable and able to make a wide array of different things. The color palette’s also really nice and clean to look at. We love the idea of marketing this towards parents eager to cultivate their children’s imagination away from school; the one issue we see is that when we were a kid who built things with Lego, we liked to know what we were doing in the end. There’s so much competition out there in this field that trying to find a real place in it could prove very challenging.

NicePipes – We conclude here with something straight out of the leg / arm- warmer space, and it’s an interesting innovation. Basically, these are warmers made out of the same fabric as yoga pants, and come in a wide array of different colors and styles. Given how popular yoga pants seem to be these days pretty much everywhere, maybe there’s a nice market for them — it’s the sort of thing that if it gets big quickly, it could make a ton of money before more people jump on the trend.
