‘The Bachelor’ star Nick Viall open to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ gig

Since this is a subject that is likely going to be coming up more and more as we get closer to the end of this season of “The Bachelor,” it makes sense that so many people are going ahead and talking about it now: Whether or not our leading man in Nick Viall could eventually be trading roses for ballroom shows as a part of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” a little bit later in the season.

For those wondering, he is certainly open to doing it. Speaking to “Entertainment Tonight,” he made that more than clear:

“I mean, I haven’t given it much thought. I think it would be fun, you know? Who wouldn’t wanna do it? Right now I am focused on being The Bachelor … [But] if they asked — I mean, I don’t think I would say my first thought wouldn’t be no, but I think anyone would feel lucky to even be considered.”

Should you go ahead and pencil in Nick for the cast? While we would not say that it is necessarily a given right now because it’s still so much time away, we have to imagine that it is something that ABC would want given the fact it would bring in ratings. The only way we don’t see it happening is if something falls apart in negotiations, or if viewers for whatever reason end up hating Nick so much by the end of this that they see a way bringing him aboard the show is going to be a net positive.

It has been a couple of years now since a “Bachelor” star appeared on the show, given that Ben Higgins did not take part after his season. However, Chris Soules and Sean Lowe are two examples of people who did take part in it after the fact. Neither one, but they both at least lasted for a little while.
