‘Blue Bloods’ season 7, episode 12 preview: Will Jamie, Eddie take a step forward?

Blue Bloods season 7As much as we’ve enjoyed “Blue Bloods” this season, we do find one thing to be true when it comes to Jamie and Eddie: Now that we’ve started to see the idea of the two of them in a relationship, we want to see it happen! Unfortunately, the show is still taking its sweet time getting us to the point where this romance could really kick off. We know that “Blue Bloods” is not typically the type of show that focuses on romantic situations, so for us this is a nice detour from the norm – we are still hoping for a Frank romance at some point!

Will next week’s new installment entitled “Not Fade Away” be the one that brings the two characters together? While CBS isn’t giving away the farm when it comes to Jamie and Eddie we do get a pretty good sense that this episode is going to have the two discussing their potential romantic future more than we’ve seen so far in 2017.

Synopsis – “When Danny accepts a side job as a bodyguard for a recently released ex-con who took the fall for someone else, he uses the opportunity to go after the real criminal. Also, Gormley’s wife, Sheila (Cady Huffman), asks Frank to give Gormley a bigger command position, and Jamie and Eddie witness a lovers’ quarrel between two cops that leads them to reflect on their own complicated relationship.”

The idea of cops taking side jobs is always interesting (when we were in funeral service we worked with police who helped direct traffic for processions in their off time), mostly because it can lead to conflicts or difficulties such as the ones that Danny is going to be going through here. As for whether or not Gormley ends up getting a bigger position, that remains to be seen — but we cannot imagine it being all that different from anything that we’ve seen on the show to date. This is a show that doesn’t like to change things up; just look at what’s happening with Jamie and Eddie right now!

Promo – Alas, Jamie and Eddie fans — this promo focuses almost exclusively on Danny (which is great for Danny fans!), and the bodyguard job that he is hired to do. As you can see, things are going to go awry for him quickly. Given that he is paid $10,000 for his services, it’s easy to figure out why he wanted to take the job.
