‘Better Call Saul’ season 3 spoilers: Expect things to start off big

Better Call Saul season 3The third season of “Better Call Saul” will be here in the months ahead, and at the center of it, at least for the time being, is mystery. We know that Chuck McGill is ready and willing to undermine his own brother Jimmy, so one of the big questions there is whether or not he’s going to be successful. Meanwhile, one of the other big questions revolves around that note that we saw reading “don’t” in the hands of Mike Ehrmantraut. For the time being, it’s not entirely clear just what that is in reference to, but it’s certainly got the rumor mill going that Gus Fring could finally be around, and his origin story could be starting up properly on this show.

So what are some of the people behind the scenes saying about the story ahead? Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, one of the things that executive producer Peter Gould noted is that there’s not going to be much in the way of a slow climb to the action of this particular season getting going:

“This season starts off with a bang … There’s so much rip-roaring conflict in the season. It really goes to a new level.”

We also learn from Gould that we will be getting a closer look at everything that Nacho has going on in terms of his own operation for this season, which is mostly exciting from the vantage point of meeting new characters there, and also seeing if maybe he is also somehow connected to Fring in a way that we have not seen or heard about already.

The only thing that is missing right now is a premiere date, but with it listed as “spring” in some many places, we imagine that it could be March at the earliest before we see Jimmy and company back in action.
