‘The 100’ season 4: New promo all about survival

The 100 -

For everyone out there excited to see the fourth season of “The 100” premiere on The CW, we come bearing good news: We’re not that far away from it starting up! The show will be launching on Wednesday, February 1, and the promo below is one of the cooler ones that we’ve seen yet.

One of the better things about this promo on the surface is simply it hammering home one thing more than any other: Fear. With much of the world potentially going nuclear, there are questions of survival and responsibility floating around. Should someone like Clarke be the bearer of bad news, or try to find a way to turn things around for the world so that she doesn’t have to tell anyone how they are in such dire straits?

In the midst of this larger story, there are many other issues that will also be present. Take, for example, the ever-present threat of war, the rallying of various groups, and characters such as Octavia still trying to find themselves in the midst of so much chaos.

This promo carries with it the title of “Who Will Survive?,” and that of course is ominous — and probably the sort of thing that will put an anxious fandom even more at ease. This is a show that took more risks in season 3 than almost any other show in terms of killing off characters, and given the pacing and the stories that are still left to tell, it is difficult to imagine that this is going to be changing this time around. We just hope that they give us a little bit more time with some of the characters that we know first rather than putting us in a position where we start seeing them drop like flies.

Have any expectations for the fourth season? Let us know in the comments, and as a reminder, there is a longer trailer already out there for the new season that you can see over at the link here. For the record, we like the music on this promo a little bit better, but that video definitely kills it more when it comes to the content.
