‘STAR’ episode 3 preview: ‘Next of Kin’ and Carlotta as protector

Do you find tonight’s episode of “STAR” to be particularly entertaining? Well, we do think that this is a very important one when it comes to determining the future of the show. This is the first time that the show aired without “Empire” on the night, and it’s the first real test of its staying power on its own. We hope that it ends up succeeding in being every bit as dramatic and interesting as the show that is effectively a part of its universe, but time will tell.

At the very least, we do know that it is extremely popular on social media. The show was trending #1 worldwide by the end of the episode!

Next week, we’re going to be moving forward into “Next of Kin,” an episode that will show off a little bit more of her protective side. We’re going to see some movement forward when it comes to the music side of things.

Synopsis – “Carlotta’s protective nature is in full force as someone close to her is in jeopardy. Trying to raise enough money for a recording session, Jahil finds himself in great danger. Meanwhile, Simone’s past continues to haunt her and Star goes to great lengths to make sure her sister is safe.”

As for the promo below, we do think that it does give you a pretty panoramic sense of what’s coming with several different characters, and we get another example that this is the ultimate underdog story. We’re still in the early stages of it, and we’re just going to have to see precisely where this evolves and where it goes in the end. The majority of the story is still to come.
