January 19 marks the return date of “Grey’s Anatomy” to ABC, and it will be for an episode entitled “You Can Look (But You’d Better Not Touch).” We’ve already discussed the reference to this title, so for the sake of this article, we’ve got a few paragraphs to talk about the story in the context of the new photo above released by the network.
This photo features three familiar faces in Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), and Jo (Camilla Luddington) in a slightly unusual environment: Prison. What are they doing there? They’ve been tasked with helping a patient, but it could quickly prove to be rather difficult due to a range of different factors.
We’ve always said that we appreciate some of these episodes that feature the doctors outside of the hospital, mostly because it offers up some opportunities to see some different shades and dimensions for characters once you get them outside of their typical environment.
Also, this storyline could prove to be interesting based solely on the timing of it. If you remember, at the end of the fall portion of the season Jo revealed the truth about her past to Alex, and it’s not clear how much his case will be weighing on her mind as she works with Miranda and Arizona. These two women have their own problems going on in terms of what’s going on with Richard Webber, and a potential romance between the latter and Dr. Eliza Minnick, the woman who has threatened much of Webber’s authority within the walls of the Grey Sloan.
Given that we do still have a couple of weeks to until this episode airs, odds are we’ll have some more updates in due time…
