‘Elementary’ season 5 spoilers: Death of a clown

Elementary -

Due to today being Christmas and all, there is no new episode of “Elementary” coming up on CBS — therefore, we want to do our best to give you the gift of some new scoop on an upcoming episode!

Specifically, what we have for you today are some of the first details from the upcoming January 15 installment entitled “Crowned Clown, Downtown Brown,” which we figure will be a tricky one for some people out there to watch. After all, we’re well aware that there are plenty of people out there who are not exactly the biggest fan of clowns, and therefore they may not want to spend an enormous amount of time dealing with a case where they are involved. Hopefully, this is one of the good clowns and not one of those who lives in the woods and scares people — odds are, you’ve probably heard quite a few stories about them over the past few months.

Check out the synopsis below if you’re interested in getting a few more details:

“When Holmes and Watson investigate a clown’s murder upstate, they discover a connection between his death and the creation of a new weaponized virus. Also, Watson helps Bell when he’s targeted by his new love interest Chantal’s (Chasten Harmon) ex-husband in attempt to sabotage her career at the district attorney’s office.”

This certainly does sound interesting, and for several different ways. Not only do we have a new case coming up that sounds interesting, but it’s also accompanied by a chance to check out something new when it comes to Bell. For everyone out there who loves a good side story for some of the show’s supporting characters, this should prove to be music to your ears.

This episode will be the second one of the new year, as the show is going to return with installments come Sunday, January 8.
