‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 and a new April / Jackson tease…

Mrs. Carter: Are we going to see a change coming for April and Jackson on “Grey’s Anatomy“?

At this particular point in time, we don’t think that there is much of a question as to whether or not people out there want to see them together — that answer is a quick “absolutely” and beyond the shadow of a doubt. Yet, at the same time we know that there are a wide array of different problems standing in the way of the two of them having a future, with one of the biggest ones simply being so much water under the bridge.

For now, the good news is that they’re letting most of that water stay there rather than throwing it into a metaphorical pot and allowing it to boil over. They’ve been good parents so far and have not let their issues cause problems in that department. As for whether or not that could change, it’s hard to say — yet, we can at the very least give you the following quote from Shonda Rhimes to TVLine, which suggests that there are some great things coming for Sarah Drew and Jesse Williams’ characters:

“…It’s such a positive thing to watch our characters behave as fully formed adults who know how to co-parent. What’s great is that parenting has nothing to do with their storyline this season — it gets much more interesting than you’d imagine…”

This is in many ways such an interesting comment to make given that you’re dealing with two characters who are, one way or another, going to be together — whether it’s at work, with their child, or around their friends. So, given that Rhimes said the word “their,” we have a feeling that their romantic past is something that will at least be discussed. Whether or not that turns out to become something more is something that we’re going to have to wait to find out.
