Tonight on NBC, the “America’s Got Talent” Holiday Spectacular is going to be coming on the air, and this marks a chance to see some really fun stuff and a more relaxed environment for the show than what we’re used to. We hope that this becomes a little bit more of an annual tradition, but it’s probably a little early to say one way or another on that just yet.
For now, though, we figured that we’d give you a quick sense of more of what is coming with the show for the upcoming 12th season! All of the judges are going to return, and the same goes for Nick Cannon as the host — this is a show that has tried to establish more consistency over the past few years, and they’ve had that with the only real change being from Howard Stern to Simon Cowell. Given that we thought Simon did a really good job with the show last year, we were certainly okay with the end product — and that is from someone who was skeptical as to whether or not he had anything new to say going into the season.
As for a premiere date, it’s best to keep your eyes peeled for either late May or early June, given that this is around when the show has premiered in the past, and our general assumption is that this is more than likely what NBC will want to do once more. This is when the show gets the highest ratings, and we don’t advocate having it on for more than once a year.
Finally, did you know that there is still a way for you to go out and audition to be a part of the upcoming season? All you have to do is head over to the link here, and look at the list of upcoming dates! There are a few that have gone by, but as long as you’re willing to travel, there will be a chance for you still to go check the show out.
We’re going to have more on the “AGT” holiday show coming up shortly over at the link here, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that! (Photo: NBC.)
