‘The X Factor’ UK: Louis Walsh destroyed by Liam Payne on Twitter before final

X Factor -Well, we have to say that this THIS is certainly not something we anticipated coming before “The X Factor” aired its final this season: Drama between judge Louis Walsh and One Direction member Liam Payne.

How did all of this begin? Well, it started with Louis opening his mouth and continuing to throw shade at former judge Cheryl Cole, at least to a certain extent. Per the Daily Mail, Louis said the following to a reporter when asked if Cheryl could return to judge in some capacity:

“Well Simon wouldn’t invite Cheryl back because we have Nicole. We have Nicole and Sharon, we don’t need another girl … No silly questions, seriously. It’s not about Cheryl. Don’t be stupid, man.”

Louis’ remaining act 5 After Midnight were present for the incident, and they laughed at what was meant to be a funny comment. Should he have been more tactful? Absolutely, but to be fair the question is kind of ridiculous and clearly was meant for some click-bait story designed to make people think something like a five-judge panel, which has never happened before, could. Louis also has zero authority on this sort of decision.

From here, Payne, who is romantically intertwined with Cheryl and there are claims that the two are expecting a child, went on to post what he said below on Twitter, and then later told Walsh to “shut the f–k up” and stop making the competition all about him.

While we agree with a good bit of what Liam said, one thing we’ll add is this: Isn’t it somewhat counter-intuitive to say that Louis’ comments hurt 5 After Midnight, when him tweeting this probably has an even harsher effect? One Direction fans may not vote for them now even more because of their mentor. Yet, we understand Liam standing up for Cheryl, just as we understand Louis wanting to have fun. The ball’s still in his court; even if he was joking, at the same time he has to be aware of how things will be printed.
