‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 10 preview: Young Ducky, Christmas, and ‘The Tie That Binds’

NCIS -When you consider all of the different Christmas episodes that have aired over the years on “NCIS,” it is definitely rather nice that the writers continue somehow to conjure up new ideas and ways to create fun, interesting stories after so much time. We can’t always imagine that this is particular easy, especially when you consider the sole fact that we’re a whopping 14 stories in!

What seems to be one of the most interesting things on paper about next week’s new episode “The Tie That Binds” is that the show is combining a little bit of Christmas with the return of two familiar faces in Tobias Fornell and Young Ducky. One of them will be returning for a very specific reason pertaining to the holidays, while the other will be tied back to a murder case in some manner. CBS recently released a few details regarding this storyline, and you can see all of those below.

Synopsis – “After the NCIS team tracks evidence from the murder of a Navy captain to Ducky’s deceased mother, Ducky looks back and questions a pivotal life choice he made 37 years ago. Also, the team exchanges holiday gifts, and Gibbs spends Christmas dinner with Fornell, on NCIS, Tuesday, Dec. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Adam Campbell guest stars as Young Ducky.”

We do have to say without question that we’re rather excited to see where this particular story goes, especially given that Ducky is such a treasure trove of backstory and interesting insight. He carries with him messages that tend to very often be relevant to the present, and we’re very much curious to see how much that tradition holds in this episode.

Also, we’re excited simply because it’s the holiday season! Don’t these episodes always do a good job of giving you a slice of Christmas cheer?
