‘The X Factor’ UK: Could James Arthur, Adam Lambert, The Weeknd appear during finale?

X Factor -There are a number of big performances of course set for the final of “The X Factor” on this coming weekend, and one of them typically is the performances that feature a finalist with a celebrity guest.

While the following names have not been confirmed as of yet, we’re learned per The Sun that former champion James Arthur — who’s in the midst of a rather spectacular year — could be lined up to perform with Matt Terry. Given that Nicole Scherzinger mentored James back when he won the show, that seems to be the perfect collaboration for her to go with. The report notes that originally, Simon Cowell wanted to pair James up with Emily Middlemas, but she was eliminated from the competition.

Meanwhile, it appears as though Saara Aalto could end up performing with Adam Lambert, which would probably be a perfect collaboration. The “X Factor Australia” judge is incredibly popular in her home country of Finland, she’s shown an affinity for him online, and he and Simon know each other from “American Idol.” He could imagine him doing something really big and creative with Saara, and they’ve both got the sort of voices that could hit almost every note.

Finally, the report makes it sound like Louis Walsh is hoping to have The Weeknd perform alongside 5 After Midnight. Stylistically, this has all of the makings of a perfect combination, and given how big The Weeknd is all around the globe right now, it’d be a great dose of star power in the pop / R&B community.

We’ll see if these announcements end up becoming reality when “The X Factor” airs its next show over the weekend. For now, be sure to head over to the link here to get some further news regarding why we think Emily was eliminated from the competition. (Photo: ITV.)
