‘Big Brother: Over the Top’ finale: Jason Roy reacts to coming in second

Jason -Tonight, the “Big Brother: Over the Top” finale aired on CBS All Access, and we had a chance to see what was clearly the most controversial vote that we’ve seen probably all season. While we personally believe that the winner is the winner regardless of a jury / fan vote, we do understand why Jason fans are upset. They felt like he did a lot more to try to win the game, and as it turns out, Jason more or less feels the same thing.

It was a little hard to hear the backyard live stream tonight, so we don’t have many direct quotes from Jason’s chat with Jeff Schroeder. However, we did get him saying that he felt he would beat Morgan because “she had the easiest road of anyone in here … Everyone around her was a larger target.” We do think she did have an easier road to get to the end than he did at times, but she did win at times when she needed to.

Ultimately, we’ve said that Jason lost the game for himself as much as she won it by the nature of some of his comments, which included at one point him making comments about Shelby’s social security number of all things. His response to some of that backlash? “Everyone needs to add a little bit humor to their lives … America is going wild. People need to pull it back and [get it] together.” We get where he’s coming here, but perception also equals reality. If he’s to play again in a season where America votes, he may need to realize that his perception of his jokes may not be the same as everyone else’s, and he cannot force everyone to see his side of things.

It’s going to be interesting to see if Jason does end up getting a chance to play again; we don’t think it’d happen in “OTT,” but we do think being on this show could help his chances for an All-Star berth.
