Is ‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 9 new tonight on CBS? The schedule ahead

NCIS -While Thanksgiving may be over, that doesn’t necessarily mean that every show that you enjoy is back on the air.

As a matter of fact, it looks like you’re going to be seeing a little bit less of the “NCIS” franchise for the coming week, and that of course includes the flagship show. There is no new episode airing tonight on CBS, and there really doesn’t appear to be all that much of a reason for it other than that there are only so many weeks in a season that can air new installments. It’s a little bit of a surprise move given that there have already been several hiatuses this year, but this is a network that clearly wants to carry their show reasonably far into the month in December.

While several shows are going to be off of the air by the middle of next month, we can tell you that the show will have two more installments on the docket for next month: “Pay to Play” (which will feature a reasonably strong story regarding a member of Congress — and potentially a focus for Leon Vance as well) and then also “The Ties That Bind,” which will feature the return of Adam Campbell as a younger version of Ducky.

With all of this, we’d say it feels pretty clear that there are some very-exciting character-focused episodes of the show coming up before the end of the year. It’s a little bit typical for the show these days to give us these sort of installments earlier in the season; we presume when we get into the second part of the season and new episodes once more in January, we’ll start to hear a little bit more about larger threats and forces that the team will have to battle.
