Is ‘Secrets and Lies’ season 2, episode 8 new tonight? Details on final episodes
Other than a week off for a Presidential Debate, the past couple of months have been wonderfully consistent for ABC, at least in terms of getting some new episodes of “Secrets and Lies” on the air.
Unfortunately, this is a trend that is coming to a close on Sunday. Due largely to the American Music Awards coming on the air, there isn’t a new installment for us to discuss today; the show will return next week for an installment that you can preview further at this link, and we like to think that this will bring you closer to the answer as to who killed Kate.
The big reveal is going to come over the course of the two-hour season finale starting on December 4, which is going to leave the show with many different challenges — whether it be solving the murder case itself or putting Cornell in a position where she has to ponder over her own future. The synopsis below does a good job being a source of some further information.
“In the first hour, in the episode entitled “The Brother,” everywhere Eric turns, people are lying to him. One long-held secret and years of deceit leads to an explosive revelation that will change the Warner family forever. As the situation reaches a fever pitch, Eric makes a tragic admission about his past. And even though he claims not to know who killed Kate, it is becoming increasing clear to Detective Cornell who the murderer is, as the evidence mounts toward an arrest
“In the second hour, in the episode entitled “The Truth,” Patrick grapples with his new reality, as Detective Cornell closes in on Kate’s killer, and the murderer is finally exposed. Meanwhile, Danny frantically continues his search for his daughter, hoping to get one more chance to be a real dad. However, in the end, it is Cornell that faces a devastating surprise.”
One other unfortunate reminder right now is merely that the future of “Secrets and Lies” isn’t mapped out just yet beyond these episodes. Therefore, it is very well possible that you are looking at the series finale of the show here to go along with it being the end of the season.
