‘Gotham’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Is Barnes starting to go mad?

With Michael Chiklis’ character of Nathaniel Barnes, one thing has felt inevitable on “Gotham” for a rather long time now: He would eventually start to succumb to having some of Alice’s blood on him. He avoided it for a while, but if he wasn’t going to start to descend into madness, what would have been the point of him being infected in the first place?

We’re going to see this transformation for Barnes really pick up steam on next week’s new episode “Blood Rush,” which is going to raise all sorts of questions when it comes to whether or not he will be able to keep this transformation a secret. Of course, there are a few other stories that are going to be coming to light, as well, including the return of Carmine Falcone to help celebrate the engagement of Lee Thompkins and his son Mario.

Synopsis – “Barnes begins to feel the effects of a recent incident and begins to go mad. Meanwhile, Nygma is out of his depth in his relationship with Isabella (guest star Chelsea Spack) and Carmine Falcone (guest star John Doman) throws Lee and Mario (guest star James Carpinello) an engagement party.”

This is going to be a really interesting episode most likely, just because we have a hard time thinking that you are bringing this character onto the show just for a few peaceful interactions.

Promo – James is getting his badge back! In between this and Barnes’ transformation, it definitely looks a little bit like this could be one of the most violent, crazy episodes of the entire season. Also, it seems like Nygma’s memories of Kristen could cause some serious issues with Isabella.
