Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ receives March launch date on Netflix

For those out there ready to see Marvel’s “Iron Fist” in action, we come bearing great news: You don’t have to wait any longer to at least learn the official premiere date.

In the video below, Netflix confirmed that the upcoming first batch of episodes is going to premiere come March 17, 2017, and there’s a rather cool dragon-related teaser to go along with it. This is par for the course for how the streaming service hypes up their series, and we certainly hope that they are ready for the mass amount of attention that is going to accompany this one. After all, remember that “Luke Cage” was apparently popular enough that it ended up crashing the service — or at least this may have been one of the factors in it.

“Iron Fist” stars Finn Jones as the title character, and this is going to be the last in the series that are eventually setting up the huge superhero team-up show “The Defenders,” which will likely also be premiering at some point next year. This will be the culmination of the first stage of all of these series — at some point down the road, we imagine that we are also going to have a chance to see more information on that. Beyond that, things are a little more unclear other than that there is a “Daredevil” season 3 and a “Jessica Jones” season 2 coming, with “The Punisher” also being in there somewhere.
