‘Quantico’ season 2: Priyanka Chopra on Alex’s next move after premiere shocker

Alex -We know that “Quantico” does at times take no prisoners, and there was a prime example of that courtesy of the events that took place at the end of the season 2 premiere. We’re not sure how else you can describe something as gruesome as beheading the First Lady in the midst of a chaotic attack on a political summit.

So how in the world does Alex Parrish, who was there to witness some of that, move forward? She’s seen death before, but this was brutal and different than anything else. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Priyanka Chopra made it clear that this is only going to motivate her character further to be the best she can possible by:

“She decides that life is not going to break her. She’s going to fight back. Alex is a hero. She’s going to do whatever she can. She’s law enforcement, she believes in that. She believes in saving America and her country and that’s what she’s going to try and do. She’s going to be a one-man army for a really long time, because such a violent attack has happened and she’s the only one on the outside.”

Meanwhile, showrunner Josh Safran also defended the move by telling the site the following:

“The first lady was beheaded on national television. On this show, when somebody’s dead they’re dead, because in the real world, when people die they are dead. It’s about what can happen in a moment. So no one is safe, that’s what the world is.”

We’re a big believer in seeing a story through. Therefore, if we see that this move was justified in accelerating the story, then we’ll buy it beyond just a shock-value twist to end an episode.
