‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: Stephen Amell teases mystery guest for 100th episode

The 100th episode of “Arrow” is going to be coming up later this fall, and there certainly is a lot of excitement around it! We’d say that is only amplified tenfold thanks to the presence of a mystery guest that Stephen Amell has hyped now on a couple of occasions on social media.

You can look below at a pair of photos that feature a green silhouette instead of the person, which we’d like to think is a sign that we’re either getting Green Lantern or the Green Man from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” (Kidding of course.) We’ve got a list of people we’d like for it to be, whether it be Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell), Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson) in some sort of flashback / Earth-2 version, or Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett). We’ve made our stance on wanting more Slade clear, and we’d like to think that this celebration would be enough to lure him back in order to play one of the most-feared villains in the entire universe.

We’re assuming that this is not all a way to further hype up Katie Cassidy making a return, given that she has already suggested she’ll be back for episode #100 in some way. We’ve also seen evidence that Robert Queen will be returning, so we want to rule him out as well.

While it would be cool to get some sort of firm answer before the episode airs, we’ve probably become extremely impatient as a culture and it would be totally cool to actually have a secret stay that way until we get around to an episode airing. If the producers pull that off, we’ll give them all the kudos in the world.
