‘Big Brother OTT’ cast: First impressions
This morning CBS finally revealed the cast for their long-awaited “Big Brother: Over the Top,” and for the most part it’s an weird assembly of seemingly-devoted fans and then also people who seem to have no clue what they are doing here.
Among the surprises? There’s a guy named Cornbread who claims to be a “Redneck Olympic” champion, two sisters in Morgan and Alex who are going to bring southern charm into the house, a guy named Scott who actually references the gas-leak season a.k.a. “Big Brother 9,” and a guy named Justin who clearly did not care about filling out a bio. We’re going to offer some more information on these houseguests soon, but for the most part it feels like there are a lot of recruits, and that the show was going for an eclectic mix of diverse personalities. The one thing we will praise is that there are multiple players over thirty, and in particular there are a few different interesting women who fall outside of the typical casting mold.
In addition to the twelve newly-announced contestants, either Jozea Flores or Jason Roy will be added in to give the game that much more personality. We’ll wait until the premiere to see how these people actually play out, mostly because there have been casts we were high on before (see season 16) only for the season to turn out to be incredibly boring. We were pretty down on the season 18 cast minus a few people and the second half of it turned out to be exciting!
