‘Chicago Fire’ season 5 video: Relationships burn bright, and burn to the ground

Chicago Fire -The fifth season of “Chicago Fire” is going to be premiering on NBC come Tuesday, October 11, and based on how the show ended things in the finale, it’s no surprise at all that there is going to be a heck of a lot of drama in the early going. We expect nothing less from this series.

In the promo below, you can see some of the sense of family and shared emotion that comes with being a part of this show. Specifically, you’re reminded that these characters are there for each other during the hardest times, including the most dangerous situations. Maybe this is a slight generalization, though, given that after this promo we have a reminder of one of the most depressing situations from last season: Jimmy’s heartache and rage that he has towards Boden, who he blames for his brother’s death. He claims that he is going to do just about everything in his power to ensure that this guy gets fired, and who knows? Maybe he will end up being successful in his revenge. We just hope not given we can’t imagine the show without him.

Yet, at the same time the struggle for this series has another twist: Jimmy doesn’t really seem like he is going anywhere either. These two may just have to figure out a way to get on the same page and support each other, since otherwise you have to consider the possibility that all of the infighting will eventually tear Firehouse 51 apart.
