‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 14 video: Riley’s new-friend failures

Girl Meets World -

There are some episodes of “Girl Meets World” that are almost impossible to identify based on episode title alone. Then, there are also some you can recognize from a mile away. When discussing the next new episode entitled “Girl Meets She Don’t Like Me,” we personally feel as though no one was trying to be misleading with the title.

The preview video below for this episode, as first released following last night’s “Girl Meets the Great Lady of New York,” makes it abundantly clear as to what this upcoming story is all about: Riley Matthews and her attempt at making a new friend at school. On the surface, it feels to her like this should work without a problem. After all, she has many friends, and we do absolutely think that Riley’s gregarious nature is one of the reasons why this show works. If she established herself as more of the ultimate curmudgeon, this show would probably end up being a little bit of a slog to get through.

Unfortunately for here, there is a problem: The person she’s targeting with her friendship is not interested. As for the reason why, the promo does not give that away. It is possible that there is something about Riley that this person just does not care for, or at the same time, maybe they have a problem because Riley reminds them of someone else. Maybe this person is just terribly cranky and doesn’t have many friends at all. These are all interesting possibilities in their own way and not to be ignored.

Ultimately, we imagine that some more updates will come when we post our review for this episode on Friday; we’ll have some further news before then, so stay on the lookout for additional updates.
