For those “Chuck” fans out there, there is some good news breaking — and it may also please a good many of the “Dexter” faithful.
On Wednesday, Showtime announced that the Comic-Con panel for their flagship series will be held on Thursday, July 12 in Ballroom 20, and will feature special guest star Yvonne Strahovski along with Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, and executive producers John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, and Scott Buck. The first two minutes of season 7 will be shown off, as will a special world-exclusive trailer for the second season of “Homeland” (which will follow “Dexter” on the schedule beginning Sunday, September 30).
For those who have yet to hear much about Strahovski’s character, she is playing a mysterious woman by the name of Hannah who starts to become involved in some cases with Miami Metro. However, she also is harboring a secret past that only Dexter starts to suspect. Fans thus far have been divided as to whether or not she is a love interest, a villain (which is our hope since “Dexter” rarely goes this route with a female villain), or something else entirely.
The only “video” so far for season 7 is the teaser below, but it consists only of blood rather than anything pertaining to the plot. Hopefully after the Comic-Con panel happens, a video will be released online for everyone else.
As for other Showtime series and Comic-Con, the panel for Emmy Rossum and William H. Macy’s “Shameless” will be held on Saturday, July 14 in the Indigo Ballroom. More details and times are forthcoming.
