‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ spoilers: Ryan Lochte, Amber Rose reportedly joining

From the moment that the Ryan Lochte – Rio scandal first started to escalate, it started to feel like “Dancing with the Stars” would eventually become his landing spot. After all, it’d be a significant ratings boost for ABC to have a controversial figure there, and for him, it was a chance to clean things up and give America more of a better sense as to why they liked him in the first place.

While it has not been confirmed as of yet, Us Weekly is reporting that the swimmer will be a part of the cast, with an “insider” telling them the following about why it’s a great move:

“Doing DWTS will be great for Ryan’s image! He will be able to show America that he’s a good guy who made a mistake. He’s still an Olympic champion! He will be great on the show.”

Is this the most excited that we’ve ever seen a magazine source be in terms of exclamation-point usage? It’s certainly up there.

Elsewhere, E! News is reporting that Amber Rose, host / model / activist among many other things, could also be a cast member on the upcoming season. Some other rumored names include former “Wizards of Waverly Place” star Jake T. Austin and former “Bachelorette” JoJo Fletcher. These names will all be confirmed next week, and if Lochte is on board, we certainly expect him to not be the only star taking place from the Olympics. We just don’t expect the other one to be Simone Biles given her schedule.
