MTV’s ‘Scream’ season 2 finale spoilers: Will ‘who is the killer’ finally be revealed?
Next week, “Scream” on MTV will be back with another new episode, and this one could end up being the biggest one of all. After all, this marks the season and possibly series finale, and there is a good chance in the process we could finally learn the identity of who has been responsible for so much sabotage, pain, and of course the frame job that we saw tonight courtesy of the death of Brooke’s father a.k.a. the Mayor.
Well, what we can tell you for now is that Emma and Audrey are going to face off against this mystery entity like never before, and we certainly hope in the process of that there is something close to a reveal. What is interesting is how MTV words the synopsis that they recently released. Specifically, they proclaim that Emma and Audrey “unmask Piper’s final surprise” in the finale, but that is not a clear indicator that it is the Killer one way or another that they unmask. What we do at least is that they will square off against him or her.
We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that the Killer is revealed, mostly because with the show’s uncertain future, it feels especially mean to not give us that. Update: We wrote some of this article without seeing the preview for the finale. Now that we’ve seen it, it appears even more likely the Killer will be revealed. Brace yourself, and make sure you have someone in your life you can yell on the phone with when you learn who it is. What’s also interesting is that apparently, the Killer would much rather have Emma and Audrey on the run than in the back of a squad car.
Based on what we saw tonight, we are starting to point the needle of suspicion firmly in the direction of Kieran, just because he does have this nasty habit of showing up at the most convenient times possible. Then again, couldn’t this just be a red herring? The thing about this show is that there may have been seeds that will make sense once we see the reveal happen.

Not looking good for Kieran tonight is it? Was he the person Emma cut off in season one when she went back to Will after he was hurt but not yet murdered?

For most of last season and this season I thought Kieran was the likely Killer. He just was never with the Killer, never got a phone call from the Killer and made a habit of showing up just after the Killer fled (e. g.: bowling alley, carnival, barn). Kieran had motive to kill Will when Emma chose him in season one. He had clippings of the Brandon James murders in season one that were likely used in season two. Kieran was likely Brandon James grandson, as she implied.
Then in the last two weeks, I hedged thinking why was Kevin Duval (Emma’s Dad) even needed for the story? Maybe all of these Kieran clues was to throw people off with a surprise Killer.
No such luck! The boyfriend (aka: Billy Loomis) was the Killer. Just wish if it had to be Kieran, that he could have been unmasked literally. Still if all 22 episodes were watched in a marathon, it would be a good story.
