‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: Who received America’s first Care Package?

The public has spoken on “Big Brother 18” when it comes to the first recipient of America’s Care Package, and we have to say that America actually didn’t bungle this nearly as bad as we assumed that they were probably going to.

Ultimately, Natalie was the recipient of the Never-Not pass, which means that she does not have to worry about being a Have-Not for the remainder of the game. She also received a few other goodies that you would assume someone would get in a real care package, which we suppose adds to the effect. She seems genuinely grateful about getting the goodies, which is certainly nice to see.

Now, we know that there are probably some diehard Natalie fans out there somewhat bummed that she got this particular package, given that there are some better prizes down the road that could actually have an impact on the game. (Remember, only one care package a person!) We’d argue that Natalie is already in a good spot, and having a further power would put a target on her back. If you’re looking to create excitement in the house, given game-changing powers to underdogs or people in bad positions seems to be more of the way to go. Natalie really didn’t need an advantage.

Of course, the other players are trying already to read into it, and this is what we don’t like: It makes contestants self-aware, and we find it more entertaining when they are not trying to put on a dance for America’s vote. It benefits good guys and hurts villains, and sometimes villains are the most fun to watch!
