‘Agents of SHIELD’ alum Adrianne Palicki lands role in Seth MacFarlane series

Bobbi -Following her time as Bobbi Morse on the second and third seasons of “Agents of SHIELD,” we certainly wondered what the future would hold for a certain Adrianne Palicki. Her spin-off series entitled “Marvel’s Most Wanted” was an unfortunate no-go in pilot season, and her future as a part of that franchise is unclear.

While we imagine that it is possible we will see Adrianne once more in some capacity within the “SHIELD” world, she has booked a new role that suggests that Bobbi may not be a permanent fixture around there in the near future. Per a report from Deadline, the actress has signed up for a main role in the upcoming 13-episode “comedic drama” from executive producer Seth MacFarlane for Fox. There is no title for the show, but it will revolve around the crew of the Orville, a ship full of dysfunction in a world set 300 years in the future.

Palicki on the series will play Kelly Grayson, the First Officer of the Orville and also the ex-wife of Ed, the ship’s captain as played by MacFarlane himself. Meanwhile, Scott Grimes has also been cast as the show’s pilot (and also Ed’s best friend). Given that there is a little bit of favoritism potentially with this hire, we’re sure that there could be some conflict as a result of it.

It is certainly far too early to guess as to whether or not this series will be great, given we know so little about it. With that being said, Fox clearly has great confidence in MacFarlane, and he has earned the benefit of the doubt by virtue of everything he has done.
