TV Death Toll: Who from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 could be in danger?

Grey's AnatomyIf you think about “Grey’s Anatomy,” this is a show that has certainly had a relationship with the Grim Reaper over the years. We’ve lost countless beloved characters over the years for a variety of different reasons, whether you are talking about a plane crash, and illness, or poor decisions made at a hospital. It’s something that will continue to be a specter on this show, just because that is the way in life. These sort of things happen.

So moving into season 13, could we be poised to lose anyone else? At this point, we certainly hope not given that none of the main characters are that old, and we feel like after losing Derek the show is somewhat at a tipping point when it comes to getting rid of main characters. You don’t want to kill off people so often that it suddenly does not feel realistic when you do so. Also, everyone may be out of tissues at this point.

Story-wise, we certainly cannot see a natural reason story-wise that anyone would be killed off based on where we are right now. The only reason that we could envision it possibly happening is in the event someone chooses to leave, and there is some sort of indication that they won’t be coming back. We feel like one of the reasons why Cristina and Callie were left alive on the show is because Sandra Oh and Sara Ramirez could conceivably return at some point. For Derek, there unfortunately wasn’t any other way other than killing him since you couldn’t justify that character going away from Meredith and the kids.

So for now, we’d say that breathe easy since we don’t foresee any major deaths in the near future … other than maybe patients and characters you don’t know very well. However, this is “Grey’s Anatomy,” so remember that there is always a slight reason to feel a little bit nervous.
