‘Gotham’ season 3 video: Jamie Chung’s Valerie Vale takes center stage

Who is Valerie Vale on “Gotham” season 3? she is the aunt of famed Gotham City report Vicki Vale, and she will be a big part of the story moving forward. Isn’t it nice to have a new casting of someone who is seemingly just a normal person, and now some sort of classic villain ready to destroy the city?

The teaser below via Fox may not be the most in-depth thing in the world, but it does give you a longer look at Jamie Chung’s new character than what you saw in the Comic-Con trailer! Like her famous niece, Valerie is a reporter, and in this teaser seems to be doing what she can to capture some images. Based on her camera, the “Gotham” world is apparently one where smartphones don’t quite cut it when it comes to taking photos. (Admittedly, it’s so much cooler to see someone using a camera for this sort of thing than a phone.)

What could Vale be investigating on the show? There are quite a few things, whether it be the machinations of many of the city’s villains to the state of things at the GCPD to some of the revelations that are coming out of Wayne Enterprises. The Court of Owls are the mysterious organization who are in many ways running the season, and all indications so far are that they are going to play an integral role in the rest of the season. We’ll just have to wait and see precisely how they make their presence now.

Based on the ending to season 2, though, we can at least say with confidence that we’re more excited for this season than almost any other.
