‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: Light a candle for Paulie and Zakiyah

Is true love dead in the “Big Brother 18” house? We wouldn’t necessarily go that far, but it does seem like you can bury away the showmance of Paulie and Zakiyah … at least for tonight.

Basically, the downfall of this ridiculous, ridiculous relationship started when Zakiyah spotted Paulie innocuously getting petted more or less by Nicole, which put her into a tizzy where she decided that she was going to approach Victor and ask to sleep in his bed to make her jealous. It was all so silly, and it’s been frustrating to watch this in general for the past week or so given that Zakiyah is a much better player than Paulie allows her to be. This relationship really holds her back.

Ultimately, Paulie just got angry about the whole ordeal and proclaimed that she was playing games. He hates that, so he seems over the whole ordeal. Meanwhile, Zakiyah has tried to claim that she is not mad at Nicole, while at the same time acting as though she is (ugh). This whole situation’s a hot mess, and we don’t see it getting better at any point in the near future. At this point, a lot of the damage is done since these two people being angry and resentful of each other is bad for both of their games. Eventually, it could get to the point where they each want each other out.

Then again, who knows? Maybe we’ll be sitting here tomorrow talking about them getting back together. (Personally, we’d be fine if the showmances all left for a permanent vacation — they’re sucking a lot of strategy out of a mediocre-at-best season as it is.)
