‘Big Brother 18’ episode 17 review: The return of OTEV (and many arguments)

Frank -There were not that many surprises on “Big Brother 18” Wednesday night, but at the same exact time, there rarely are with a Veto show. We’ve already had a chance to see the drama of the live feeds, even though it was interesting to see more of it. Frank thinks that James is a sheep, Bridgette is of course upset, and Paul continues to think that he is the bruiser of the house … with an emphasis on that.

Tonight’s Veto Competition was the return of OTEV, which we definitely found to be a great occasion since he always brings a lot of craziness. There was a great theme this year with a cranky frog, and it was another OTEV failure for Frank, who previously found some failure competing against Dan Gheesling on the 14th season of the show. This year, he lost out to Big Meech! Michelle won her first competition, but the bummer here was that on the feeds, it was abundantly clear from start to finish here that she had almost zero interest in using it.

Ultimately, we’ll give the show credit for at least trying to give you as good of a condensed version as possible of some of the strategy leading up the Veto Ceremony. Also, we learned from the Diary Room that Michelle had a thing for him earlier this season, so she was “salty” that he started working with Bridgette instead. What was also entertaining was seeing Paulie try to campaign and be the boss, even though he looked incredibly ridiculous still with that haircut.

In the end, a fairly fun episode of the show, but we’re still waiting to see everything that makes the Thursday show given what happened after the Veto Ceremony. Grade: B+.
