‘The Bachelorette’: JoJo Fletcher comes to defense of Jordan Rodgers, Robby Hayes

JoJo Fletcher now has her final two on “The Bachelorette” in Jordan Rodgers and Robby Hayes, but at the same time, these two guys have not exactly had a sterling reputation for much of the time on the show. For Jordan, he has been struggling with people claiming that he is on the show exclusively for the fame of it all. Meanwhile, Robby has been forced to fend off claims that he left his previous girlfriend to be on the show; meanwhile, Chad Johnson claimed on “The Men Tell All” that he had threatened his ex to keep her from speaking out about it. (Robby, in turn, referred to such claims as “slander” on social media.)

So what does JoJo herself have to say about all of the talk? Speaking per People Magazine, she does her part to come to the guys’ defense, arguing that she thinks that the two of them told the truth about their past and their intentions:

“It’s hard for me to see people say these things about guys I know very well and care so much about … But I feel like I did ask the right questions and I got the answers that I thought I needed. I know that’s not the truth. I know these men … [It’s] been difficult [to see the stories] … I can’t imagine what they’re going through dealing with it. But I think the greatest takeaway is you can’t always believe what you read.”

Technically, this is something that JoJo should know a thing or two about, given that she was the target of some not-so-kind rumors of her own earlier this season, when her ex Chad proclaimed in a magazine story that she was really just doing “The Bachelorette” for fame first and foremost. (To be fair, everyone on the show probably does want to be famous — but it’s also possible they want love to go along with it.)
