‘Zoo’ season 2 spoilers: Prepare for a big finale cliffhanger

There’s a new episode of “Zoo” coming on CBS tonight, and for many of the team members, you can look at this as yet another opportunity for them to try to take another step forward following the events that transpired with Chloe. It’s going to be difficult, but in some ways, maybe this shared experience through tragedy could cause some of them to unify and fight harder than ever to restore some sort of peace to the world.

Here’s quite possibly the biggest hurdle standing in their way: This is a show with no specific end date, and so long as it remains on the air, we have a feeling that these characters will not feel altogether safe. After all, it would otherwise be relatively boring if everyone could breathe in a sigh of relief.

In continuing along that subject to TVLine, star James Wolk made it very clear that the show is going to be ending in a super-dramatic way:

“It’s a cliffhanger. It ends in a way where things could continue in a very interesting way … The writers did a great job mixing it up for the final episode.”

For the time being, CBS has not confirmed that the show will return for a third season; yet, Wolk made it very clear to the site that he would be more than happy to return, in the event that he had an opportunity to do so:

“I would love to come back for a third season. It’s a lot of fun — I love making the show.”
