‘The Bachelorette’: #LukeforBachelor trends following Luke Pell elimination

Luke -We’ve been saying for weeks that Luke Pell was the consensus favorite to be labeled “The Bachelor” at the end of this season of “The Bachelorette,” but we’re starting to think that this is being made all the more definitive by fans.

In the minutes that followed the elimination of Luke on Monday night’s episode, #LukeforBachelor found itself trending, and it even caught the attention of show creator Mike Fleiss. for the most part, this should be seen as a rather immense sign that this is where the producers will go, provided of course that Luke is single and willing to go on that next part of the journey. (Our guess: He’s game unless he runs into the love of his life over the next few weeks.)

As for when he could be revealed as the next lead, you could look at the “After the Final Rose” special next week or the finale of “Bachelor in Paradise,” since that is a way to encourage more people to watch that show. Either way, the next season of “The Bachelor” will film later this year, and presumably debut in January on ABC. This is the way that the show has done this for so long, so we don’t see that changing.

Also, we have a really hard time envisioning someone else getting close to competing with him for the gig, unless of course someone out there tries to stir up some controversy. Last year, that happened with some claims Nick Viall was in the running, even though the clear choice was Ben Higgins and he ended up getting it.
