‘Gotham’ season 3 video: Comic-Con teaser hints at more Hugo Strange, Fish Mooney

There are many things to love about “Gotham,” but moving into the third season, one of the biggest ones is an opportunity to see more familiar faces in new, exciting ways! We give the show all of the credit in the world for not just trying to wrap up season 2 in a neat little bow in the finale; instead, many of the same characters you saw there will be back.

While there is not a whole lot of new footage for the third season in the extended Comic-Con trailer below, you do get a chance to see the return of people like Fish Mooney, Tabitha Galavan, and Hugo Strange, which is great news given that we weren’t quite sure just how long any of them were going to last as a key part of the story. We do think Hugo will live to the days of Batman, mostly because the mythology would be changed in a big way otherwise.

Also, this preview gives you a few more teases regarding the Court of Owls, and Alfred in particular is going to have his hands full. (There are few things we enjoy more than getting to see Alfred beat the snot out of people on this show.) We also have the Mad Hatter on the horizon to look forward to, and who knows? There may be a few other villains who surface at some point before the story comes to a close.

In the end, we just hope that the show continues the momentum and the spirit of season 2, which was precisely what we wanted this show to be from the very beginning.
