‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 8 spoilers: Do we know the final Big Bad?

tvd -Do we now know who could have transformed Enzo and Damon on “The Vampire Diaries” into some really wicked people? Not necessarily, but we gotta admit the latest casting intel that is out there has us curious.

Sources confirm that Nathalie Kelley, who is best known for playing Grace on the first season of “UnREAL,” is going to be appearing as the extremely villainous and manipulative character Sybil on the final season of the show. She’s immortal, she can control others to do her bidding, and it’s certainly possible that there are some secrets and layers hidden underneath the surface.

The question we wonder at this point is this: Is she evil, powerful, and interesting enough to be the culmination of all of this show’s many villains? To us Klaus of course remains the most noteworthy villain; it is hard to surpass someone who has another show in “The Originals” created in their honor. From there, we’d probably rank Kai personally in second place just because the guy was a total psychopath. Rayna last season was a little bit of a miss; we thought the first half of the season with the Heretics was ambitious and interesting, but then we went the other direction into “hot mess” territory.

There’s still a lot of information to come on the final season, but we anticipate Kevin Williamson to be more involved in the series than he has been in years; also, we would like to imagine Nina Dobrev returning for the final season. That is not officially confirmed just yet, but she has said in the past that she would like to be there in order to see the series through. She did record some lines for the season 7 finale, a sign that she is still loyal to the franchise that accelerated her career.
