‘America’s Got Talent’ will have three wild-card acts

AGT -During the Judge Cuts shows on “America’s Got Talent,” we had a chance to see 28 acts move forward to the next phase of the competition. This group of acts is joining the five Golden Buzzer acts from the first round in getting to perform on the live shows.

Given that this only gave us 33 acts, clearly someone at NBC wanted to bump that number up to 36. Three wild card acts are being added to the field for the next phase of the competition, and that is thoroughly exciting from the vantage point of getting to see some different talent included in these shows. There were a few acts who really should have been put through to the next round in the first place, and we like to think of this as an opportunity for there to be a little bit of redemption for both them and also the judges who bungled it in the first place.

As for who these acts are, hopefully we will have some official word on that soon.

Moving forward this weekend, we’re also going to have some other coverage coming in terms of who are the most capable Golden Buzzer acts from the Judge Cuts, and also who we think is in the best overall position right now to win. There’s going to be a lot here to still discuss, so hopefully it proves itself to be an eventful next month or so with the show.
