‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 4 spoilers: The dangers of protecting Vincent

Beauty and the Beast -

If you’ve found yourself watching “Beauty and the Beast” so far this season, you’re probably more than familiar with some of the general themes. Specifically, we’re talking about trying to protect Vincent, and how far people like Cat are willing to go to make that happen. While he may have killed, he wasn’t exactly in full control when it happened.

On Thursday night’s new episode “Love is a Battlefield,” we could be seeing undercover missions aplenty as a means of securing his safety. Maybe they’ll be at least in part successful, given that the synopsis below for July 28’s “The Getaway” suggests that there will be temporary peace. The problem is that it seems to be ending within the blink of an eye:

“Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) fight to reclaim some normalcy to their lives, even as the threats of a beast bounty and a DHS manhunt loom. Meanwhile, Tess (Nina Lisandrello) takes a huge risk by protecting Vincent from a nosy reporter.”

Seeing Tess get involved on this level seems to us to be one of the more interesting aspects of this case, mostly because so far this season, she has at least tried to keep some distance for the sake of keeping herself safe. That hasn’t been because of indifference or anything of the like; she’s calculated, and knows that one of the ways she can best help him and Cat is to work more from afar, and try to provide as much help at a distance to ensure that nothing happens to them.
