‘Saturday Night Live’ video: See Ariana Grade, Taran Killam in deleted sketch

SNL -Saturday Night Live” has apparently come up with a rather unique way in which to keep interest during what is a long summer season, opting to release a series of cut-for-time sketches that were not aired at any point during the season.

In the past, we have seen the show release the majority of these in the days that follow each episode, but we’re almost glad that they are doing something different now in waiting until summer. This gives us a chance to have something to talk about in the summer months, and we definitely appreciate that since at times, it can be a long hiatus.

The cut-for-time sketch below comes via Entertainment Weekly, and it revolves around Taran Killam playing a man trying to make his musical dream come true. This sketch is from the Ariana Grande show, which should be obvious given the fact that the singer is present for the sketch. For the most part, we find this entertaining … if a little bit odd. We’ve certainly seen Taran over the years play characters who are a little bit more grounded, and even seen music-based sketches that make a whole lot more sense than this one does.

Now that we’ve said all of this, we’re never going to be one to complain about getting something more when it comes to “SNL,” especially at a time when we don’t usually get new things to check out. This is far from the best cut-for-time sketch we’ve ever seen, but simultaneously we know it is far from the worst.
