‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: JoJo Fletcher cries over rumors, past with Ben Higgins

We know that there have been some running jokes out there among fans of “The Bachelorette” that JoJo Fletcher mentions Ben Higgins and her time with him a lot, but what do you expect her to do? There’s a reason that many Bachelorettes are not the runner-up from the prior season, since there’s really not a whole lot of time to recover from the end of one relationship to trying to establish new ones. She went all-in with Ben, and was blindsided by him picking Lauren Bushnell in the end, even though he claimed that he was also in love with her.

In the new preview for Monday night’s new episode (first posted by “Entertainment Tonight“), we have a little bit of a different context for why JoJo is talking about Ben. Specifically in this instance she is talking about a notion that she was not really in love with him, and was using the show more for her own career more so than anything else.

So who is suggesting otherwise? JoJo doesn’t make that clear in the preview, but it’s obviously someone who is extremely bitter about what happened on that show, more than likely an ex. We wouldn’t be shocked if it is Chad (not that Chad), her ex who tried to sabotage her hometown date on “The Bachelor,” who went around bashing her and she found out about it before this episode filmed. After all, he seems to think that he has a major ax to grind.
