‘The Walking Dead’ season 7: Norman Reedus on fan passion, ‘if Daryl dies’ riot claims

Daryl -

Will fans really riot if Daryl Dixon is killed off “The Walking Dead“? We do think there would be some Twitter outrage, coupled of course with some nasty letters sent to AMC. Yet, ultimately it’d probably just be a situation where most would move on … though we do suspect that the series would lose some viewers.

Are you curious what Norman Reedus himself thinks about some of the claims? He was asked this question by Variety while promoting his new “Ride with Norman Reedus” series, and made it clear that he appreciates the love, and that he would be as upset as anyone if he were to go:

“I will be passing out matches if that happens — I will be starting the riot. You know what, I’m very appreciative. I put a lot of work into this character for a long time, and I really like my job, and I like all the people I work with an awful lot, and I like all those fans that have my back, and I have their back, and I’m trying to do a good job for them as well. So it’s one big family that I’m proud to be part of.”

The good news for many fans out there is that we would be beyond shocked if something were actually to happen to Daryl, given that he is such a focal point of the series, and one of the catalysts for going out and helping Alexandria. We also just think that you really want to see someone like Daryl face off against Negan, since we think he’s more than capable of being a thorn in his side.
