‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 4 spoilers: A kidnapping and other surprises

The further we get into “Beauty and the Beast” season 4, and the clearer it becomes precisely just what sort of stakes await Cat and Vincent as they continue to work their way through an assortment of problems … while simultaneously trying to plan for their future, however difficult that may be.

What we do have for now are a few more details regarding the upcoming June 23 episode “Something’s Gotta Give,” which if the synopsis below is any indicator, is going to make Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan’s characters think about their future in a BIG way … one that they have not really done before now:

“While working to uncover who is after Vincent (Jay Ryan), Cat (Kristin Kreuk) discovers she might be pregnant. A lead Vincent follows puts his life in jeopardy. Meanwhile, J.T. (Austin Basis) gets kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity.”

Do we think that we could really be getting a “Beauty and the Beast” baby so soon during the final season? We imagine that it is possible, but at the same exact time, we wonder more if this is the sort of story about a possible pregnancy that is meant more to have Vincent and Cat thinking more in this vein; even if it doesn’t come to fruition in the end, it may at least have the two looking more towards their long-term future than ever before, especially in terms of whether or not they could have a family in the midst of the chaos of their lives.
