‘Mistresses’ season 4 premiere video: Karen’s ‘manny’ makes his move

The season premiere of “Mistresses” airs on ABC Monday night, and based on the sneak peek below, it’s not going to take too long at all for things to get a little bit juicy when it comes to Karen’s story!

In the sneak peek below, you can see Karen try her best at reading her new book out loud to her nanny a.k.a. “manny” Robert (Jerry O’Connell), only for things to take a really awkward turn when he tries to kiss her right in the middle of the reading. It’s incredibly odd, but at the same time this is also a part of what makes this so entertaining! For us Karen always has the most interest and most times awkward storylines on the show, making her our favorite to watch every season.

Ultimately, we imagine that this could become one of those so-wrong-it’s-right phenomenons that really starts to take over Karen’s life, and becomes a focal part of the show. It definitely cannot be any more out-there than what Karen went through last season in terms of her three-way relationship with Alec and Vivian.

We also want to note that we really love the fact that O’Connell specifically was cast in this role, given that he has such great comic energy and should mix things up this season in a rather nice way. Also, we really dig the fact that this character is an actor, and like many other struggling actors, he tries to apply his skills to a variety of other things. The more of O’Connell we have here, the happier we’re probably going to be in the end.
