Is ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ new tonight? Further questions stemming from ‘The Flash’ finale

LegendsWe’ve certainly been on a journey through time on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” throughout the course of this year, but for the time being, the journey is over. We have seen new installments of new series “Arrow” and “The Flash” airing this week, but unfortunately, that doesn’t mean Ray Palmer, Sara Lance, and the rest of the gang will be joining them.

The good news is that you won’t have to wait for nearly as long moving forward for the second season! The first season premiered in January, but the new batch of episodes will more than likely start in October. We’re going to obviously get a story that stems from the appearance from Rex Tyler (Patrick J. Adams) in the finale, which introduces the Justice Society of America to the DC universe established on The CW.

Now that we’ve said that, let’s go ahead and throw one other question in here: Does “Flashpoint” change anything for this show? Thanks to Barry Allen going back in time and saving his mother, you have to wonder if characters like Captain Cold are changed in any substantial way. The same goes for Martin Stein and Jax, since their lives intertwined with Barry’s on “The Flash.”

Regarding the JSA, it will be interesting to see if Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) ends up playing a part on “Legends” season 2, given that in the comics he is one of the founding members of the group. If that turns out to be the case, then this would be more of an Earth-3 organization on this show than one that stems solely from Earth-2, which it did in the source material.
