‘Supernatural’ season 11 finale video! Castiel’s back! Unfortunately, there are problems…

For those of you “Supernatural” fans out there eager to actually see Misha Collins as Castiel rather than Lucifer, great news: The character as you once knew him is back! Amara ripped Lucifer right out of Castiel’s body, and now he’s left to wonder what the in the world the group’s next move is going to be.

Then again, we could say the same thing about both of the Winchesters and even Chuck. Amara has done a number on all of them, and the sneak peek below can be best described as “picking up the pieces.” The only problem is that these pieces really do seem to be scattered almost everywhere, and it’s not entirely clear what the team can do to stop the Darkness once and for all before this season comes to a close.

Is there a weakness to Amara? You could argue that it relates to Dean in some way, but it’s hard to envision how he would come about tricking or defeating her right now. This is part of the fun of the show! It will take some resourcefulness, but given the fact that there is a season 12 coming up in the fall, we imagine that one way or another, the boys are going to find a way.

Of course, we’ll be back later today to chronicle just what that “way” really is, and also start to look ahead at what could end up being a very important next season given that there will be new showrunners in Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer.
