‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 6 preview: ‘Blood of My Blood’ and choices for Maisie Williams’ Arya

LogoWe have now reached the halfway point for “Game of Thrones” season 6, and if there is a word to describe the feeling we now have, it is this: “Troubling.” Namely, it’s troubling that we have to imagine that there are only five more episodes left, and possibly only eighteen left for the series. If anything, we imagine that we are now at a point where the pace will need to pick up in order for the story to conclude.

Next week’s new episode is entitled “Blood of My Blood,” which is a famous saying thanks to many of the Dothraki. The synopsis below may be short, but it makes it clear that there are a few developments coming across many storylines:

“An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce).”

Yes, we’re sure that the mention of Sam and Gilly in here will annoy some, but we have been curious what their endgame will be. Also, this could be when we see the debut of Freddie Stroma as his brother! As for an Arya decision, let’s just say that “it’s about time.” After so long with the House of Black and White, we are angling for a change soon.

The promo below is the continuation of many of these stories. We get a chance to see in here specifically the battle against the High Sparrow reach its peak, and you know that this will end in a shocking, violent way.
