‘Gotham’ season 2 finale: Watch David Mazouz’s reaction to reading the script

The season 2 finale for “Gotham” is airing on Monday night, and for the time being, Fox has been at least fairly coy in terms of what to expect. What we do know is that we’re going to be seeing Hugo Strange on the run, and the city at the mercy potentially of such people as Mr. Freeze and Fish Mooney. We know that the Penguin is also out there somewhere, and knowing this character, he’s probably going to have a thing or two to say before the story comes to a close.

What Fox did do in a rather funny way is give you an “unboxing” of the script courtesy of David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne on the show. In the video below, you can see him open the script up and read it for the first time, complete with some shocked reactions and some screaming.

Unfortunately, Mazouz did not read it all out loud; also, we really hope that he reads every episode of the show like this. It’s a bit of fun to prepare you for an episode that could have you upset and/or angry and/or convulsing, knowing that it will be fall before the season comes back with new episodes.

Before we conclude this article, there is really one thing that we cannot stress enough: How fantastic the second season has been from start to finish. It’s reminded us almost of some of the great Batman cartoons of old, except with a more adult twist.
