‘Bones’ season 11, episode 17 preview: What lies within ‘The Secret in the Service’

Bones -One of the things that surprises us most about “Bones” is that, when you think about it, they really don’t delve as much into the world of politics as they really could. The show is set after all in Washington DC, and there are always plenty of shocking scandals that take place there involving everyone from lobbyists to Senators. Sure, it’s not new to the “Bones” world, but they could do even more than they do. (Sure, “Scandal” does cover many of the bases.)

On next week’s new episode entitled “The Secret in the Service,” and based on the synopsis below, there is going to be a few interesting twists in here; not only that, but also the return of a character from the past:

“A drunk college student discovers the dead body of a Secret Service agent just before a presidential visit to the area. Booth is ready to hit the ground running and turns to Secret Service agent and former colleague Brandt Walker (guest star Michael Gaston) for information, but is surprised to learn the Secret Service has reservations about Booth’s involvement in the case. The team uncovers some shocking evidence that heightens the seriousness of the case, causing Booth to step up for his country. Meanwhile, Brennan is out sick with the flu and former intern Dr. Colin Fisher (guest star Joel David Moore) returns to the Jeffersonian to run lead on the case, but Brennan refuses to be kept out of the loop. Also, Hodgins takes his life into his own hands and turns a corner after a potentially dangerous experiment.”

Ultimately, we imagine that this case will be tricky for the Jeffersonian to figure out just on the basis of access alone. Just remember just how secretive the Secret Service can be (slight pun intended).
