‘Jessica Jones’ season 2 filming back-to-back with ‘The Defenders’

This is turning out to be quite the busy year when it comes the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Netflix, especially when it comes to shows being filmed.

Speaking per Digital Spy, Krysten Ritter said that the second season of her series “Jessica Jones” is going to be filming immediately after the big team-up series “The Defenders,” which means more or less that she is going to be working almost non-stop for a substantial amount of time moving forward. It’s great for those who are fans of the character, given that they will get a chance to see a lot of her moving forward, even though it may take a while for some of these to come to the air.

For now, we know that “Luke Cage” is coming later this year, and our feeling is that “Iron Fist” with Finn Jones (which has been filming for some time) will probably debut either late this year or early next year. Maybe we’ll get “The Defenders” by the end of 2017.

For those curious, here’s what Ritter had to say about what the second season for her own solo show could entail:

“I’m excited to see what happens next for Jessica, and the end of season one left a lot of doors open and questions unanswered … Kilgrave was her reason for getting up every morning. Saving people gave her purpose. I wonder how emotionally taxed she’s going to be now.

“That opens a lot of doors as to who will come out and play. We all live in the same universe, so there are endless possibilities.”
